ABSTRACT
When ASHAs were introduced in NRHM in 2005, their primary aim was to visit homes of newborns as the first program in UP operated through the ASHAs was the Comprehensive Child Survival Program in 2008. Since then, tracking of all deliveries and all the newborns are an integral part of the work of ASHAs in all the primary health care programs operated by the NHM in UP. Evaluation studies on the performance of ASHAs was done since 2011 as by then ASHAs had actually worked in the field for a minimum period of 5 years. It is to be noted that National Rural Health Mission was rolled out in April 2005 but it took about one to two years for the states to hire ASHAs and put things in place right from the state to the village level. In this article, a comprehensive feedback is elicited from the mothers of Scheduled Caste (SC) community from the last visit of ASHAs to their homes to visits during pregnancy & newborn care in Gonda district of UP. The current study explores some of the crucial variables through five case studies on the performance of ASHAs through their message delivery & visits during natal, newborn care of mothers of Scheduled Caste (SC) community. The article also includes the feedback of the SC community mothers on the work & approach of ASHAs. That’s how the perception of the Recently Delivered Women of SC community in the state of UP is included in this article. The mothers of SC community responded about the performance based upon their experience in visits & messaging by ASHAs on Janani Surakhya Yojana (JSY), New Born Care (NBC) & Routine Immunization (RI) as these were the frontline programs for the states. The responses of these mothers or Recently Delivered Women (RDW) (as named for the current study) had a 3 to 6 months old child during the time of survey. ABSTRACT
Introduction: The reason for consultation is the basis of medical reasoning, its understanding is fundamental to avoid diagnostic errors. The objective of this study was to determine the frequency of emergency consultations among children aged 2 months to 15 years in the paediatric department of the health centre of the commune II of Bamako. Patients and methods: This was a retrospective, descriptive study from 1 January to 31 December 2017. We included all children aged 2 months to 15 years who were consulted in emergency at the paediatric department. Data were collected from medical records and consultation registers on survey forms. Some variables (socio-demographic and clinical) were retained for analysis. Results: In our study, 254 patients aged 2 to 15 years were included. Children under 5 years of age were the most represented 82.67% and those aged 11-15 years the least represented 3.54%. Males were the most represented with 59.44% M/F sex ratio of 1.46. Parents of children residing in commune II at the time of the consultation were in the majority (74.81%). Parents came directly with their children in 83.85% and had a reference in 16.14%. The reasons for consultation were dominated by fever (50%), followed by respiratory difficulties (16.53%) and convulsions (14.17%). Consultations for fever, breathing difficulties and convulsions were more frequent in October with respectively: 23.62%; 26.19%; 22%.

ABSTRACT
Autoimmune thyroiditis (AIT) is the most common organ-specific autoimmune diseases in humans. It is characterized by the presence of circulating antithyroid autoantibodies (TAAs). The aim of our study was to evaluate the diagnostic performance of antithyroperoxidase (anti TPO), antithyroglobulin (anti TG) and anti TSH receptor (anti RTSH), during thyroid and non-thyroid autoimmune diseases (AID). This is a descriptive retrospective study over a period of 30 months (January 2019 June 2021), which included 130 adult patients hospitalized at the Ibn Sina University Hospital in Rabat. The average age was 46 ± 15 years. Women accounted for 107 cases (82.30%), representing a sex M/F ratio of 0.21. Our series showed 82 patients who were in euthyroidism, 29 in hypothyroidism and 19 in hyperthyroidism. Anti-TPO positive were found in 118 patients, of whom 90.7% (n=107) had Hashimoto's thyroiditis and 6.7% (n=8) had Basedow's disease. Of the 66 patients with anti-TG-positive drugs, 89.4% (n=59) had Hashimoto's thyroiditis and 7.6% (n=5) had Basedow's disease. Anti-RTSH antibodies were found in 6 patients, all with Basedow's disease. AITs were associated with autoimmune non-thyroid conditions in 59.23% (n=77) of patients; type 1 diabetes was most prevalent in 30.76% (n=40). In conclusion, a high presence of TAAs was found in the context of euthyroidism with a wide range of AIDs. This requires careful interpretation in order to accurately determine their actual clinical significance outside an AIT context.

ABSTRACT
The diagnosis of a hemoglobinopathy is not always easy; it is based on a combination of clinical, hematological and biochemical findings, possibly including a genetic study of globin chains. Interpretation of biochemical profiles can be complicated when two hemoglobin abnormalities are associated. We report the case of a globin alpha variant associated with beta-thalassemia in a family of Moroccan origin that underwent a biological investigation. The discovery was fortuitous during the determination of HbA1c by high performance liquid chromatography. The diagnosis was confirmed by the use of complementary techniques, including capillary electrophoresis at alkaline pH and agarose gel electrophoresis at acid pH, associated with the hematological and biochemical data of the patient and his family.

ABSTRACT
The current study aimed to investigate different pigments obtained from the isolates of Cercospora personata. Pigments were developed in the solvent system, which were pale yellow, orange red and deep red fractions. The Rf values of pigments were compared with that of their respective authentic samples. Results from chromatography, spectroscopy, and colour reactions suggested that the pigments produced by Cercospora Personata were identified as aveufin, dothistromin, cercosporin.
