ABSTRACT
Background: Double jaw surgeries are performed to correct the deformities that involve both the maxilla and the mandibula. We aim to evaluate the perioperative process with cephalometric measurements regarding their motives and fulfilments following the double jaw surgery. Material and Methods: We evaluated the perioperative process retrospectively in double jaw surgery for dentofacial deformities in the last ten years at Istanbul Faculty of Medicine, Department of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery. The questionnaire of motives for the surgical treatment and the Postsurgical Patient Satisfaction questionnaire (PSPSQ) were investigated. Results: The majority of the patients (88.4 %) reported satisfaction, and 85.9 % reported an increase in their self-confidence following surgery. Both functional and aesthetic motivations were reported successfully satisfied following double jaw surgery. The data from the PSPSQ reported a high degree of post-treatment satisfaction for the patients. The younger patients had an influence on the degree of overall treatment satisfaction for appearance and social motives (p<0.05). The women patients expressed greater value for social and disease prevention motives than men (p < 0.001). Conclusion: Despite the various difficulties of the perioperative process, the patients expressed high levels of satisfaction following surgery. Besides, the increase in self-esteem, the improvement in masticatory functions, and the amelioration in the external appearance are expressed apparently by the female patients.
ABSTRACT
Class I malocclusion is one of the most common problems around the globe affecting around one-third of the patients who come for orthodontic treatment. This case report evaluates the management of bi-maxillary dento-alveolar protrusion in a female patient with a Class I malocclusion. The case required extraction of 1st premolars for correction of the proclined and forwardly placed upper and lower front teeth and also for correction of crowding in upper and lower front teeth. Clinical and cephalometric evaluation revealed skeletal Class I malocclusion with crowding and a convex facial profile, an average to horizontal growth pattern, potentially incompetent lips, a posteriorly divergent face, increased overjet and average overbite. Following fixed orthodontic treatment by removal of 1st premolars in the upper and lower arch with retraction of anterior segment, a marked improvement in patient's smile, facial profile and occlusion was achieved and there was a remarkable increase in the patient's confidence and quality of life. The profile changes and treatment results were demonstrated with proper case selection and good patient cooperation with fixed appliance therapy.
ABSTRACT
This case report is of a 26 year old male patient who presented with unaesthetic appearing irregularly placed teeth in both maxillary and mandibular arch with a reverse overjet and overbite, non-coincident dental midlines, a non-consonant smile arc and Class III pattern both skeletally and dentally. This case was corrected non surgically merely by employing simple mechanics with the help of Fixed Orthodontic Mechanotherapy without extraction of premolars by expansion and proximal stripping of teeth. The case ended in a Class I Molar and canine relationship bilaterally. The case report emphasizes on the non-extraction protocol despite various problems the patient presented with such as reverse overjet and overbite and an unaesthetic smile. Following fixed orthodontic treatment, marked improvement in patient's smile was achieved and there was a remarkable increase in the patient's confidence and quality of life the profile changes and treatment results were demonstrated with proper case selection and good patient cooperation with fixed appliance therapy. The patient was extremely satisfied with the results at the end of treatment.

ABSTRACT
Background: A budget is a written plan for an organization's operations that is specified quantitatively for a certain period of time and is usually stated in monetary units. Due to a low budget for the community nutrition improvement program in 2017, the number of cases in 2018 was 1,574. Subjects and Methods: This is a descriptive analytic study with a retrospective approach undertaken at the South-Central Timor Regency Health Office. The study population consisted of health department data and financial reports. The financial statements of the public nutrition improvement program budget are the variables in this study. Data was gathered at the research site by collecting secondary data. Result: The research findings include the amount of the budget for the community nutrition improvement program in the Health Office of South-Central Timor Regency from 2016 to 2019, with the highest budget amount in 2019 amounting to Rp. 2,930. 460,419.00, the highest number of cases in the 2016 - 2019 budget period, including 1,574 cases in 2018, The highest budget deviation in the 2016 - 2019 budget period, namely in 2019, is Rp. 1 094.930.893.00, the effectiveness of the 2016 - 2019 budget period is said to be effective, namely in 2016 - 2017, while 2018 - 2019 is less effective, the budget efficiency for the 2016-2019 budget period is inefficient, with the sum of the budget for cases of malnutrition in the budget period 2016-2019 reaching Rp. 2,930,460,419.00 in 2019 with a total of 800 cases. Conclusion: The size of the budget from 2016 to 2019 influences the amount of malnutrition cases. Whereas the higher the budget, the lower the number of cases of malnutrition.

ABSTRACT
Agenesis of Maxillary lateral incisor is a common dental problem which requires a multidisciplinary approach. Many treatment modalities are available. Many factors should be taken in consideration such as occlusion, angle and skeletal class, profile type ….. If the patient had undergone a space opening, the most suitable treatment is implant supported prostheses. Nevertheless, the successful Single implant supported restoration in anterior region is always a challenge for practitioner. The objective of this article is to present a successful clinical situation of bilateral lateral incisors agenesis treated with implant supported prostheses while focusing on prosthetic stages. The paper aimed also to highlight steps from which would depend the successful of the implant therapy especially in anterior region.
ABSTRACT
The etiology of bimaxillary protrusion is multifactorial involving both genetic and environmental causes like mouth breathing, tongue and lip habits and tongue volume. The following case report shows management of class I crowding in a hypodivergent case with extraction of all first premolars. The results of the treatment produced a pleasant facial profile with attainment of good occlusion. The case required extraction of 1st premolars for correction of the proclined, forwardly placed and crowded upper and lower anterior teeth. Cephalometric evaluation revealed a Class I skeletal pattern with a horizontal growth pattern and clinical examination revealed presence of an orthognathic facial profile, an average overjet and overbite, crowding in maxillary and mandibular anterior region, potentially incompetent lips, increased lip fullness and lip strain with an unaesthetic smile arc and a decreased nasolabial angle. Following fixed orthodontic treatment by removal of all 1st premolars and with retraction of anterior segment, a marked improvement in patient's smile, facial profile and occlusion was achieved and there was a remarkable increase in the patient's confidence and quality of life. The profile changes and treatment results were demonstrated with proper case selection and good patient cooperation with fixed appliance therapy.
ABSTRACT
Fibro-osseous lesions are group of lesions that are poorly defined and affect the jaws and craniofacial bones. It is characterized by the replacement of normal bone by fibrous connective tissue containing foci of mineralization that vary in amount and appearance. Fibro osseous lesion is benign and arising process. It includes diverse group of pathologic conditions that are developmental lesions, reactive or dysplastic diseases, and neoplasms. Therefore, classification and diagnosis of these lesions is controversial because there is significant overlap of clinical and histological features. Hereby we present the detailed review of different classification and description of fibro-osseous lesions.
