ABSTRACT
The knowledge integration in the new normal influences the teachers on the strategies and techniques to align with the technology that focuses on the learning enhancement of the learners. Due to the new normal perspective learning situation, what best strategies of teaching will be provided for better interaction, and better learning process? The study examines to identify the different strategies, trends, methods, and techniques of teaching in the new normal learning perspective of students. Descriptive quantitative and qualitative research design is employed in analysing the strategies, trends, methods, and techniques of teaching in the new normal learning perspective of students. The subjects of the study are the professional teachers in various educational institutions in both public and in private. It comprised 150 participants only. Purposive sampling is utilized in the study in gathering the population of samples because this kind of sampling technique is selective, judgmental, and subjective sampling in a form of non-probability. Results show that strategy in teaching lays the foundation of why and how to conduct the class and help set expectations, creating a shared class culture where students take more responsibility for their class participation, trend in teaching shows that blended learning in the classroom structure directs teachers instruction in more directed activities of students, method of teaching shows to compose learning process from various stages, acquiring knowledges, asking questions that lead to more questions in a growing complexity and pedagogical approach and modern technologies are introduced for educational materials by the students, and technique in teaching shows to bring academic concept to life with visual and practical learning experiences, helping students to understand the lesson into real life situation and poses thought-provoking questions which inspire students to think for themselves and become more independent learners. ..

ABSTRACT
Hedges are rhetorical devices employed to mitigate one’s assertiveness to gain ratification from others. They are used in research articles (RAs) to modulate authors’ commitment to the propositions and convey compelling messages. Mainly following Yang’s taxonomy (2013) on categories of hedges, we aim to explore the hedging expressions used in different sections across the RAs in the medical field. This study examines the use of hedges based on a corpus of RAs from reputable medical journals. Both similarities and variations are found in the overall distribution of hedges as well as different categories of hedges across various sections in RAs. The results are interpreted from two perspectives: different rhetorical purposes of various sections and different functions of various hedges.

ABSTRACT
This study was seeks to reveal abbreviations in Malay Patani dialect. This study aims to examine the process of forming abbreviated words in the Patani dialect of Malay. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method. The data referred to in this study are all forms of abbreviations used by the Patani community in spoken language. The data sources in this study were several indigenous Patani residents in the city of Surakarta and the city of Yogyakarta and also on the social network channel YouTube (MULIMITED). Data collection was carried out using the listening and speaking method with the advanced technique used was the note-taking technique. The results showed that there were 46 fragments of abbreviated data. The process of forming the abbreviation word of the fragment used is 4 processes, namely the preservation of the first syllable of 5 data, preservation of the last syllable as much as 25 data, preservation of the last two syllables as much as 12 data and removal of some words as much as 4 data.

ABSTRACT
The present article discusses the process and problems of translating the Indonesian comic book entitled ‘Mice Cartoon: Indonesia Banget! 2’. It is a comic that contains typical Indonesian current situations. The aim of translating the comic book from Bahasa Indonesia to English is to produce the English version of the comic book, which makes foreign readers understand Indonesian comics. As the comic also describes some events and conditions in Indonesia, this can also help illustrate social conditions in Indonesia to the foreign readers and show some Indonesian culture through comics. The translation is challenging as it has many Indonesian slang and dialects which are only found during the events. The techniques and procedures of translation are discussed and analyzed using the translation techniques suggested by Molina & Albir (2002). It was found that not all techniques were used. The most frequently used translation technique is the literal translation, followed by Modulation and Linguistic amplification. Cultural translation arising from the analysis is also discussed.

ABSTRACT
This study is an attempt to assess the two-edged system of Indentured Labour that was practiced in colonized India during the pre-independence period. In this malpractice laborers were sent outside their native land for earning their livelihood, but on the other hand they were misguided and misled to misery. Each aspect of the migrant workers is discussed in detail. The implication of the indentured and why it was so will be covered. The indentured laborers have to sign a bond to work outside their native land for a limited period as a (girmitiya) and were compelled to live a miserable life, which could also be termed as social death. The critical approach to the lives of the migrant workers and their life will be taken into concern in this work. How the system still prevails in modern India in camouflage will also be the point, and what are its impact on the modern generation will be also taken into consideration.

ABSTRACT
This study investigated peer pressure and its psychological effect on the academic performance of students in Akoko North East local government area, Ondo State, Nigeria. The instrument used for data collection was a questionnaire. A simple random technique was used to draw a sample which consisted of 120 secondary school students from three public secondary school. The population consist of both male and female students. The data collected were analysed using descriptive statistics. Based on the findings, the researcher discovered that peer pressure does not necessarily means negative influence, it can also be positive influence, also the kind of peers a student keeps or move with can influence his attitude, learning and academic performance. The recommendations made include that parents should encourage their children to have friends that would have positive influence on their learning, both at home and in school. Teachers should also pay attention towards encouraging peer group activities in schools especially in the area of group discussion.
