ABSTRACT
Injury to the skin provides a unique challenge, as wound healing is a complex and intricate process. Acute wounds have the potential to move from the acute wound to chronic wounds, requiring the physician to have a thorough understanding of outside interventions to bring these wounds back into the healing cascade. Surgical enrichment/dressings are applications for wounds, burns, and ulcers. They should be regarded as supportive of healing; are desirable but not essential in an emergency. There are currently plenty of dressings available in the market to aid in wound healing. Before choosing a dressing for a specific injury, a physician must assess carefully the needs of the wound to understand which dressing would ensure maximum interest. Basically, there is nothing called best choice, and it is crucial that the merits/demerits of each dressing system be understood. This article has provided a framework to assist in dressing assessment. This article reveals measurement of wound healing and the functions of wound dressings. A variety of dressings and their respective details are detailed.

ABSTRACT
Kennedy’s classification is based on incidence of partial edentulousness proving Class I most prevalent and Class IV least. With changing scenario of dental awareness and health providers, the most prevalent Kennedy’s classification need to be addressed regularly. Several studies of trends in removable prosthodontics service showed that the number of complete dentures is declining; number of partial dentures is increasing. This reflects the changes in dental treatments provided which encourage the preservation of natural teeth and decrease in the number of cases require complete dentures. Also such studies focusing on prevalence of partial edentulism and its correlation with other factors in Indian population is reviewed less. This literature reviews about the studies done in Indian population and its correlation with other parameters like arch prevalence, gender and socio-economic status.

ABSTRACT
The present study is to assess the coherence of facial photographs as a viable means for analysis of the soft tissues in orthodontic patients. Aim: To assess the repeatability and creditability of measurements obtained from lateral cephalograms and facial photographs. Methods and Material: The study was done on standardized lateral cephalograms and facial photographs obtained from a total of 120 patients. An observational collation of linear and angular measurements was formulated between lateral cephalometric radiographs and homologous measurements procured from facial photographs. With patient in ortho position and adhesive dots set on the anatomical landmarks, right profile photographs were captured in NHP. With protractor connecting the tip of the nose and the soft tissue pogonion, a plumb line recorded the NHP angle. Likewise, digital lateral skull radiographs were taken with a PLANMECA and it was analyzed if the same position achieved during photographic record had also been acquired on the radiographic record. Both digital photographic and radiographic records were uploaded into nemoceph 10.4.2 software program for windows and were scrutinized by a single examiner. A total of 19 parameters were analyzed. Results: All angular and linear parameter showed statistically insignificant differences. The parameters which showed the mean difference between cephalometric measurements and photogrammetric measurements which is greater than one degree in angular parameters and one mm in linear parameters. Conclusion: The phogrammetric analysis can be used as a screening or adjunctive aid in clinical diagnosis.
