ABSTRACT
Construction services sector is one of the many areas of business are classified as highly vulnerable to
accidents or exposure to occupational disease. Compliance of workers in the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
can reduce the risk of accidents or occupational diseases. This study aims to determine the relationship of knowledge,
perceptions, attitudes, availability of PPE, comfort, and supervision of the use of PPE in construction workers of the AP Pettarani flyover toll road in Makassar City. This type of research is observational analytic with a cross sectional study approach. Data collection was conducted in March - April 2019 for 63 workers as samples taken using the proportionate stratified sampling technique. Data obtained using a questionnaire. Data were analyzed by univariate and bivariate using the chi square test on SPSS applications. The results showed that there was a relationship between knowledge p = 0,036 (p <0,05), perception p = 0,035 (p <0,05), attitude p = 0,010 (p <0,05), PPE availability p = 0,020 (p <0,05) with APD comfort while variable p = 1,000 (p> 0,05) and control p = 1,000 (p> 0,05) was not associated with the use of PPE. The conclusion of this research is that there is a relation between the knowledge, perceptions, attitudes, availibity of PPE with
the use of PPE.
ABSTRACT
The high rate of urbanization experienced in developing countries pose a great challenge to transport development in most cities. The study examined traffic congestion problems and their causes at road intersections in Bamenda, Cameroon. Secondary data was obtained from both published and unpublished materials, libraries and internet sources and primary data from field photographs, administration of questionnaires to a sampled population of 220 respondents. The data was analyzed by the use of quantitative and qualitative methods including SPSS and the output presented in the form of graphs, charts and tables. The analysis of data collected revealed that spatio-temporal variations exist in traffic flows and delays at specific intersections. Also poor town planning, poor driving habits, absence of traffic control mechanisms, lack of parking space, road side trading and hawking, were found to be the greatest causes of delays at the road intersections in the city. Based on this, the study therefore recommends that, trading activities and poorly parked vehicles and attitudes of road users be strictly prohibited especially at road intersections to reduce traffic congestion and delays within the city.

ABSTRACT
This research refers to Max Weber's social theory of Protestant ethics which says that the teachings of the Calvinist Protestant Christianity raise the spirit of capitalism in Protestant Christians. In this connection, this study aims to provide an overview of the application of the Muktazilah understanding pattern to the entrepreneurial behavior of Muslim entrepreneurs in Watampone. Another aim is to describe the concepts and ideas in running a business by integrating the patterns of understanding of al Muktazilah. The research method used is quantitative with an approach following research disciplines. The scientific approach used is theological normative, juridical, philosophical, managerial, and sociological. Judging from the core problems studied, the main approach used is based on management science, individual behavior, and natural or theological science, accompanied by a multidisciplinary approach including sociological, psychological, philosophical and normative approaches. The results of the study found that al Muktazilah's understanding patterns had a direct positive significant effect on entrepreneurial behavior.

ABSTRACT
This paper addresses the effects of seasonal and annual rainfall variability on agricultural production that has had great influence on sugarcane biomass yields in Mumias Sub County in Kakamega County of Kenya. Seasonal and annual rainfall variability has adversely affected agricultural production globally. Mumias Sub County experienced rainfall variation between 1982 and 2012. The objective of this paper was to establish the effects of variations in total seasonal rainfall and total annual rainfall amounts on sugarcane biomass yields. A descriptive longitudinal research design was adopted. Document analysis was used to obtain data on rainfall amounts from Mumias weather station and sugarcane biomass yields from Mumias Sugar Company records. Quantitative data on seasonal and annual rainfall variability and sugarcane yield were analyzed using simple linear regression. The results show 55% (r²=0.55) and 40% (r²=0.4) of variation of sugar cane biomass yields can be explained by long seasonal rainfall (March, April, May) and short seasonal rainfall (October, November, December) respectively. Similarly, 61 % (r²=0.61) of variation of sugarcane biomass yield can be explained by total annual rainfall amounts. The study demonstrated that long seasonal rainfall and total annual rainfall amounts are dominant climatic factors accounting for variation of sugar cane biomass yields in Mumias. Recommendations made to farmers are they align activities of sugarcane production with temporal rainfall variability by observing planting dates, apply fertilizers when heavy rains sub size and apply mitigating measures such as irrigation to supplement water supply to sugarcane crops during dry seasons and grow more of drought resistant varieties.
ABSTRACT
The aim of this paper is to inspect how innovation and sustainability are integrated into the wider context of the supply chains. To this end, a systematic literature review was carried out with a particular focus on papers published in recent years. The analysis shows an upward trend of literature in numerical terms and a wider spread of sustainable innovations. These areas include analyses of specific industrial sectors which have been less covered in the published literature; research activities in the less developed countries; more attention on the social dimension of sustainability; a more general contribution from some nations that turned out to be less productive or even inactive on the sustainable supply chain innovation topic. Finally, a framework is developed which could constitute the basis for further developments and research on this issue.
ABSTRACT
Today the terms sustainable development and sustainable innovation are often used. But what is meant by these terms, other than that they in some ways are connected to the terms “green” and “ecological” seen in a long term perspective? How, in turn, are sustainable innovations developed? Studying the literature on the topic leads to the conclusion that there is no precise or established definition of sustainable innovation, sustainability and sustainable development.
