ABSTRACT
Public universities in Kenya have experienced recurrent employees’ unrest which could be as a result of ineffective internal communication between the university and its employees. During crisis, effective internal communication is vital as it is the only way the organization and employees can dialogue and stop the crisis. Despite vast research on organizational internal communication, literature on employees’ perception on internal communication during unrest in Kenyan public universities during unrest is deficient. Data was collected by means of questionnaires and FGDs among 374 employees and 114 union officials respectively. The findings revealed that the employees felt that during unrest there are no sufficient internal communication channels, and opportunities within the organization to give suggestions. Moreover, the study ascertained that the organizations do not support two-way communication between employees and management during unrest. The other finding was that during unrest the information employees got from their organization was unreliable and untimely. Therefore, the employees are largely dissatisfied with the internal communication between them and the organizations they work for during unrest.
ABSTRACT
Since the end of the cold war, irregular migration within and across the Horn of Africa region has been quite unprecedented. Especially, its association with smuggling and trafficking networks and its human tragedy have put the region in a precarious situation. Every year tens of thousands of young people flee the region in an irregular way, most times causing them to make risky journey across deserts and seas to far-flung regions. Dominant media and political discourse tend to identify extreme poverty as the responsible factor for the larger flow of irregular migrants from the region. However, such representation seems to be based on stereotypes rather than on empirical researches. It seems that, a deeper understanding of the root cause is missing from the public debate and political discourse. This paper examines the root cause of irregular migration in the region. In doing so, by following a critical approach it demystifies the notion that poverty is the root cause which really is a consequence. It may also provide possible policy recommendations. Four countries of the region, namely Eritrea, Djibouti, Ethiopia, and Somalia, which to a different extent are origin for irregular migration, are discussed in this paper.
ABSTRACT
As a special practical writing, the translation of public signs also has certain skills and strategies. Under the background of globalization, English, as an international language, is widely used in various public places. In some public places in China, such as airports, subways, tourist attractions, etc., there are Chinese and English bilingual public signs everywhere. However, the English translation of some public signs is not standardized, which not only damages China’s international image, but also brings trouble to international friends coming to China. This paper analyzes the non-standard phenomenon and causes of the English translation of Chinese public signs, and provides some skills and strategies for the C-E translation, so as to better help the international friends in China know about China and provide convenience for their life and work.

ABSTRACT
This study mainly explored the use of Discourse Markers (DMs) in journalistic writings and the factors that prompted the BSED English students of CVSC Maragusan to commit errors. This study employed the qualitative research. Ten (10) informants were part of the writing assessment and phone interview and were chosen through purposive sampling. For ethical considerations, this study underwent an ethics review before the data were gathered. Furthermore, to adhere to the Data Privacy Act, the identity of the respondents was held confidential. The Coding and thematic analysis were used in data analysis. The study's findings revealed that students have limited knowledge about DMs and their functions in basic writing. Additionally, the limited knowledge about DMs are the factors that prompted the respondents to commit errors in using the DMs in their journalistic writings. These findings imply that students should be taught more about the DMs, their types, and their proper usage in writing. With this, the incorporation of the DMs in the discussion should be given more attention, especially in writing class.

ABSTRACT
In many emerging countries, the use of mobile phones in a variety of commercial transactions is becoming widespread. The development of this sector in Côte d'Ivoire is particularly important as cities seek to make the most of this new opportunity. For small businesses, mobile phone solutions facilitate money transfers and financial inclusion. However, between fiat and non-cash money, this new means of payment, issued by a private system, raises questions about the impact on the monetary base and the regulatory framework. This study analyses the adoption of mobile financial services in Daloa, located in the centre-west of Côte d'Ivoire, and its impact on the financial behaviour of users. It was based on documentary research, a questionnaire survey (64 people - payphone employees and mobile money subscribers), direct observation and interviews using the mixed method. This paper, while presenting mobile money payment facilities, draws the attention of users and policy makers to the risks of their creation and expansion, so that policy makers find regulatory responses to the challenges and issues of introducing these new mobile money services systems. Ultimately, we question whether the use of mobile currencies contributes to real financial inclusion.
ABSTRACT
The study is essentially qualitative and aims, through a comprehensive approach, to clarify the factors that foster the relations of opposition between the Société des Caoutchoucs de Grand-Béréby (SOGB) and the populations who were evacuated in the department of Grand-Béréby for its installation. In this article, we hypothesise that the process of installation of state companies on rural arable land and their concessions to the private sector is a source of conflict. The data from the 27 interviews conducted with the different actors highlight the following main conflict factors: the lack of transparency in the signing of contracts, the non-respect of certain contractual clauses, the claim to arable land within the SOGB perimeter, and the claims to land within the SOGB perimeter for village extension. The results of this study show that the "development of San Pedro and its hinterland" project, which saw the construction of the bridge over the Sassandra River at Soubré, the Port of San Pedro and the installation of SOGB, did not really meet all the expectations of the populations, which is the reason for the persistence of conflicts in the area.

ABSTRACT
The Ministry of Public Health in Cameroon (2017) defines perinatal death as the birth of a lifeless fetus weighing at least 1000 g or after 28 weeks of amenorrhea or a size greater than or equal to 35 cm, as well as death of any newborn that occurs from birth to the first seven (7) days of life. This loss is of great importance to parents and those around them. Perinatal bereavement is then the process following a perinatal death. In fact, the bereavement following a perinatal loss is difficult for parents. We imagine that the emotion engendered by this type of loss is much less than for a bigger child, but the intense grief caused by this one does not depend neither on the duration of the pregnancy, nor on the age of the child. The child, but the intensity of the bond forged and its investment. This bereavement is often overlooked in its complexity and its impact on the individual and the couple. This article aims to read the experiences of Bulu couples in the aftermath of perinatal mourning.
